This morning’s MedPage Today newsletter contained the following blurb which I naturally just HAD to read.
Some political candidates get a boost from anti-vaccine campaigns as they approach the midterm elections. (NPR)
This blurb linked to the original NPR article titled “Vaccines used to be apolitical. Now they're a campaign issue”
It’s an amazing piece of propaganda and appears to serve just one purpose; to politicize vaccines. To completely and totally politicize vaccines. Here are a couple of quotes from the article:
“candidates on the political right are also pushing conspiracies about vaccines”
“Anti-vaccine proponents used to exist in both Republican and Democratic circles, but the pandemic saw them shift definitively to the political right.”
“ "I think it's really unfortunate that an issue that has saved so many lives has become partisan and hyper-political," says Northe Saunders, the executive director of the SAFE Communities coalition”
Now it was time to learn more about this SAFE Communities Coalition. I searched online for this organization. Interestingly it did not come up at the top of the search results, although I had literally typed it in word for word by the name of the organization. After scrolling about halfway down the page I finally found them.
SAFE Communities Coalition which is described in the article as “A nationwide nonprofit committed to supporting pro-vaccine political candidates and policies” by their Executive Director. Incidentally, SAFE stands for Science and Families Engaging Communities Coalition and Action Fund. $cience is now hard at work out there busily engaging communities.
First surprise: Look who’s on their board of directors; everyone’s favorite rabid pro-vaxxer Dorit Reiss. I can’t find their funding sources on the website, but I think we all know where the money is coming from. I’m sure it will be easy to find out with just a couple of simple online searches in Colorado (where they say they are based). I’ll update this article if I happen to find the time to confirm my suspicions.
Upon further inspection of their website, I see that their website was designed by a company called Superior Blue Strategies. Seriously, just LOOK at their home page! (I circled my favorite part).
Here’s what Superior Blue claims on the WHAT WE DO tab of their website:
Providing strategic communications, direct mail, fundraising and general consulting with Democratic candidates and interest groups. Superior Blue Strategies is a full service political communications firm. We help you craft a message that persuades in an effective and creative way – to get you to victory
Bottom Line; We Win Elections!
This is another example of just how deep pharma control goes. And just how deep it has dug into the Democratic party in the United States. I’ll tell you why vaccines have become political. Because pharma made it political when they took over the Democratic party.
The NPR article ends with this quote
"Unfortunately, I don't think the antivaxxers are ever going to go away," says Northe Saunders of SAFE Communities Coalition.
Oh, we’ll “go away” Northe. After the 1986 ACT is repealed and these products are no longer liability-free for the manufacturers. And after these manufacturers are held accountable for each and every illness, injury and death caused by their toxic products.
Hello from the UK
Dorit Rubinstein Reiss has an anagram of her name:
I be sinister iron turds
That I think is polite given what she is doing.
Good sleuthing here! 🙌
